Edexcel is one of the leading examining and awarding bodies in the UK and throughout the world. It incorporates all the qualifications previously awarded under the Edexcel and BTEC brand. Edexcel provides a wide range of qualifications including general (academic), vocational, occupational and specific programmes for employers.
BTEC Higher National Diplomas (HND) provides greater depth and specialisation than BTEC Higher National Certificate qualifications. These qualifications are mode free but are predominately followed by full-time learners and allow progression into or within employment in the sector, either directly on the achievement of the award or following further study to degree level. The BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business mainly offers a progression route for learners who are studying a business programme. The BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business provides suitable work experience so that learners can apply their knowledge and practical skills in the workplace during their study. The qualification prepares learners for employment in the sector and is suitable for those who have already decided that they wish to enter this area of work.
