The aim of this qualification is to provide CTH Diploma level candidates with subject specific English language training. Students successful upon examinations will be awarded with UK professionally recognized English Language Certificate. The CTH English Language qualification is designed to prepare students specifically for the International Hospitality and Tourism industries and, subsequently, the course covers topics relevant to all hotel departments and restaurant staff, tour operators, resort representatives and travel agents. Apart from the specialized subject related course content, students will benefit from extensive practice in all the skills of general English, which will raise their confidence and make them ready for any of the undergraduate programmes they wish to undertake.
Level 2 has its equivalent in Common European Framework; takes candidates up to Upper Intermediate level.

Certificate in English for Hospitality and Tourism Level 2 CEFR (Independent User) Level B2
Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
