The minimum age for registration for this programme is 18. No formal qualifications are required but applicants should demonstrate competence in English by the attainment of one of the following:
- British Council - Intermediate Certificate in English/Upper Advanced Certificate in English
- LCCI - English for Business (EFB) 1st or 2nd level
- Pitman/City and Guilds - English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/English for Business and Communication
Applicants over the age of 18 who do not hold one of the recommended entrance qualifications may register for this programme providing they have been in full-time employment for a minimum of two years and should supply a reference from their employer.

| This is a new qualification introduced by ABE, which is a professional, QCA-accredited qualification to prepare students for a career in business and to give them advanced entry onto professional qualifications and university degrees in the UK and other countries. This qualification addresses many of the business management disciplines to provide a rigorous general business and management education. One in which students are encouraged and expected to make their own unique contribution. It is a learning process designed to enhance individual managerial understanding and effectiveness. It also helps to develop and maintain sound working relationships within a diverse group of colleagues and provides with opportunities to reflect upon existing behaviour and attitudes. The programme covers the theoretical issues of business and management and offers many practical skills useful to potential employers. |
